100th anniversary of Dunant's death

Coop and the Dunant Year 2010 Association called on celebrities to interpret the world-famous Red Cross on canvas. To mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Henry Dunant—the founder of the Red Cross—the Dalai Lama, all Swiss federal states, Carl Lewis, Ursus & Nadeschkin, and many other celebrities from business, politics, sports, and culture took up their paintbrushes. Coop CEO Hansueli Loosli also got creative and painted the Red Cross on canvas. The nearly 60 resulting paintings were auctioned in 2010.

In consultation with the Swiss Red Cross in Zurich, after the sale, 60 percent of the purchase price (3000.- Fr.) will be donated to the Swiss Red Cross in the name of the buyer (the receipt, payment to the SRK, will be sent directly to the new owner with the picture).

Not purchasing this product will not prevent you from making a voluntary donation to the Red Cross.
